Team spirit: The power of the platoon

I don’t know about other platoon members, but this week, the advantage of being on a Biggest Loser platoon became apparent to me.
I really did not want to work out this week. I wanted to eat whatever I wanted. I felt I “deserved” to slack off. But knowing I had to weigh in and meet our leader’s eyes when my weight was beaming from the scale, was the determining factor. I HAD to keep up the exercises. I HAD to watch my portion sizes. I HAD to do the weight program. Knowing I was accountable for my actions–not just for me, but for my team–kept me focused. It kept me on track. I am over that hill, for now. I have to weigh in again next week.
So for now I am focused. Go team; Go me.
