On the wagon, off the wagon, on again…

I had a bad week. I was busy and made excuses. Do you know how many times I have been told that one bad day doesn’t mean you quit? Lots. Do you know how many times I just said oh, well… and fell, or jumped, right off that wagon? Lots more. But this time I thought that maybe I could just get back on that wagon. It was not like I had to start over. Maybe I could just do it.
I thought to myself, “Giving up? That was the old you. You can do it now. You can just forget the meal that was more calories than you are allowed in a day. You can get back to the gym and exercise it off. You have already lost weight. You will lose it again.”
So I picked myself up and went to the gym. Held my breath and weighed in. I looked down. And I had lost. No, not as much as I would have if I had stayed on that wagon, but I did lose. So I am back on track. I am back to the gym. I am back to making my meals at home. I am BACK on that wagon and going strong.
