No more “I can’t do it” moments!

I noticed something that I thought I would share. I started out with free-weights five weeks ago struggling to use the five- and eight-pound weights. Now, without hesitation (okay, maybe a little) I grab the 10- and 12.5-pound weights.
I can’t believe how much my body is changing in such a short period of time. I’m actually getting stronger. Wow, what a concept! I enjoy every moment in the gym. Sure, there are sore muscles and occasional aches, but they let me know that I am working hard. Onr of my teammates said that if you can’t feel your muscles burn, you probably aren’t doing it right.
But, lately I haven’t had any “I can’t do this” moments. They are a thing of the past. Now I have the “How many can I do before my body gives out?” moments.
I’ve made the five percent weight-loss goal already. I have exceeded the personal goal of weight loss I set for myself before this all started. I hope I will hit the 10 percent mark at the end of this program.
