Can I use the Z-Center on a drop-in basis if I’m not a member?

What if I don’t want to sign up for a Z-Center membership, but I want to drop in and try out one of the fitness centers on campus or participate in a sports club activity held at one of the athletic facilities on campus?

All getfit participants are eligible to buy discounted day passes at either the A-Center or Z-Center from January 26 through April 19. These special getfit@mit day passes cost $8 (regular cost is $15). To buy a discounted day pass, simply visit the main desk in the ACenter or Z-Center and present your getfit@mit registration page (printed from your getfit@mit account online) and a photo ID. Make sure you tell the customer service staff that you are a getfit participant and would like to buy a day pass at the special getfit rate. You may pay for the pass using cash, personal check, or credit card.

Weekdays from 4–7 p.m. are the busiest times at the Z-Center. If you go at that time, you may have to wait in line for a few minutes for the staff to process your day pass. Be prepared and plan accordingly.

Each time you use a day pass, you’ll have to sign a waiver form, available at the main desk of the facility. To gain access to the facility, you will need to turn in your day pass along with a photo ID. The staff will then give you an access pass for the facility. At the end of your visit, turn in the access pass, and get your photo ID back.
