Still looking for a reason to try a getfit@mit DAPER trial pass?
We can give you 150 reasons.
Buy a four-month 2014 getfit@mit DAPER trial pass for
$200, and you may be eligible for a $150 rebate from your health insurer!
If you’re covered by certain Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (BCBSMA) health insurance plans―including the MIT Traditional Health Plan or MIT Choice Plan (but not the Affiliate or Student Health Plans)―you may be eligible for the BCBSMA fitness benefit, which pays up to $150 per year toward health club membership.
After reimbursement from BCBSMS, your final cost for the four-month membership is just $50!
If you’re covered by a spouse’s non-BCBS plan, don’t despair! Most major Massachusetts health insurers, including Harvard Pilgrim and Tufts, offer the same $150 fitness benefit. Check with your insurer to see if you’re eligible.
How it works:
- Join a getfit@mit team, activate your membership online, and then print out your profile page from the getfit@mit website.
- Bring your printed profile page and a photo ID to the main desk of the Zesiger Center or Wang Fitness Center/Alumni Pool between January 13 and February 14, 2014.
- Complete a membership application and waiver form; pay the $200 fee with cash, a personal check, or a credit card; and save your receipt!
- At the end of the four-month period, submit the reimbursement request form to BCBSMA along with a copy of your receipt. Upon request, DAPER will also provide you with a letter attesting to the fact that your membership meets reimbursement requirements. To request a letter, fill out this online form.
